The signature function requires a signature to verify transactions, just like credit cards traditionally have in the past. There are two main types of EMV ® credit card technology: Chip-and-Signature and Chip-and-PIN. It’s a more secure way to store information, providing better protection against some forms of credit card fraud than the older mag stripe, because it can’t be as easily “skimmed” by fake credit card readers. Go to Menu > Settings > Hardware devices and do the initiation once more.Restart the app by double-clicking the home button of the iPad and swipe the app upwards.Go to the cash register, open the Sitoo POS app > Menu > Settings > and press About to reload the changes in the cash register.Press save (you do not need to change any information).If the initialization fails and gives an error message even though the data is correct, follow these steps. The text field stating the IP address should now automatically be filled in with string of numbers, the same as the IP address in your card terminal.If you are using more than one terminal you will need to ascertain the IP adress of your terminal to ensure that the correct terminal is connected to the correct POS.
